We have all faced this situation in college network that when we try to download and use some metro apps from windows store but it failed to connect to internet. Because the proxy is not by default set to metro apps. In this post I will guide you through step by step procedure on how to set up proxies for windows metro apps in windows 10.

Step 1: Install CCProxy and Enable Appcontainer Loopback
Step 2: First set the system proxy in Settings >> Network & Internet >> Proxy
Step 3: Also set proxy from cmd. Open cmd and type “netsh winhttp import proxy source=ie”
Step 4: Now open “Edit Group policy” {Search from start menu}
Step 5: Local group policy editor will open. Then navigate to Computer Configuration >> Administrative Templates >> Network >> Network Isolation.
Step 6: Now by open “Proxy definition are authoritative” and “Subnet definition are authoritative” and Enable it.
Step 7: Then open “Internet Proxy Server for apps” and Enable it, then type proxy Under> Options>>Domain Proxies. {yourproxy:Port eg., proxy.iisc.ernet.in:3128}
Step 8: Now open Enable appcontainer loopback software and click on Exempt All and Save changes.
Step 9: Now Open CCProxy and navigate to Options >> Advanced >> Cascading. There type your proxy address and port. And minimise CCProxy.

Thats it! Now your Metro Apps can connect to Internet via your college proxies.
